Hinda has a Masters Degree in Employment Counseling, and worked in higher education (RPI, Northeastern University, Southampton College) running Career Development and Experiential Education programs, helping college students to discover and follow their dreams.

Along with her husband Bill, Hinda raised 2 children (now in their 20s) in Westchester, NY.

In 2010, fate led them to S. Egremont, where they are now full-time residents.

The idea for Berkshire Baby Box came to her fully-formed on January 29th 2016.  She had read about the Finnish Baby Boxes several years ago, and it made an impression.  She has been active in the Berkshire chapter of Dining for Women (diningforwomen.org) where she has seen every month how one person and one idea can make a huge difference.

She looks forward to having a positive impact in our beautiful Berkshires.

Bill retired from Cardinal Health, a pharmaceutical wholesaler in 2013.  Cardinal Health acquired Kinray in 2010, a company which Bill had helped build for over 39 years.  His expertise in managing and running a 4 billion dollar company will be helpful in developing and maintaining a well-organized and efficiently run organization with Berkshire Baby Box.

Bill’s passions include photography and woodworking.

Jessica and her baby received a warm welcome upon moving to the Berkshires. She is pleased to champion Berkshire Baby Box and help provide such warmth to new parents and babies county-wide. A passionate writer and advocate for the Berkshires, Jessica is a correspondent for Berkshire Magazine and has written for New York Magazine.

A two-time winner of the Lecomte du Noüy Award for emerging playwrights, Jessica graduated from Northwestern University and The Juilliard School. Regionally, she has written or produced for Berkshire Playwrights Lab, WAM Theatre, and Berkshire International Film Festival.

Jessica is the Director of Development at Barrington Stage Company.

Rabbi Jodie Gordon is a rabbi, educator, and mama who lives in the Berkshires with her husband Josh, and their two daughters. Besides "mama" and "rabbi", Jodie proudly calls herself a feminist, Reform Jew, and (recovering) Brooklyn-ite. She earned a degree in Sociology and Near Eastern & Judaic Studies at Brandeis University and was ordained a rabbi at Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion. Prior to attending rabbinical school, Rabbi Gordon gained invaluable community experience building, programming and teaching in a variety of Jewish communal institutions, including Hillel at the University of Wisconsin and The JCC in Manhattan, and Ma’yan: Listen for a Change. She is thrilled to join the Berkshire Baby Box team, and hopes that together, we can offer new families the opportunity to grow and thrive knowing they are supported and cared for by their community.
